Outside trips

ORGANIZED TOURS:

The Spanish School Pichincha gives the opportunity to its students to get to know Ecuador and to participate in organized tours within the city of Quito and surroundings, as well as all over Ecuador. The activities of one or two days take place either during the weekend or during the Spanish classes and are accompanied by a teacher.

The tours include the services as mentioned below, but does not include the costs for food and beverages, souvenirs, etc.

City Tour

Guided tour through the historical centre of Quito, Saturday or Sunday, full day.

Including:
Entrance fees to the Basilica, City Museum, Church of La Compañía
Public transportation

Costs per student $25

Mitad del Mundo

Visit the City of Mitad del mundo! Saturday or Sunday, full day

Including:
Entrance to the City of Mitad del Mundo, Ethnological Museum, Sun Museum
Visit of the volcano Pululagua, easy walk of one hour
Public transportation

Costs per person $30

Mindo

Go to Mindo! Saturday and Sunday, 2 days

Includes:
Visit of the waterfalls and the butterfly garden
Tubing
Accommodation in dormitory and full pension
All entrance fees and transportation between the activities
Guide
Public transportation Quito – Mindo / Mindo - Quito

Costs:
One student $70; two students $60 per person; 3 or more people $50 per person

Market in Saquisili

Experience the local market of Saquisilí! Thursday, half day (during your Spanish lessons)
Includes public transportation Quito – Saquisilí / Saquisilí – Quito and guide
Costs per person: $20

Other activities:

If you do not like travelling alone, you can be accompanied by your teacher. The guide costs $10 per day and participant. The student is then also responsible for basic expenses of the guide (accommodation, food and beverages, entrance fees, activities, transportation), which are split between the members of the group.

Otavalo, Saturday, full day
Train “Nariz del Diablo”, 1,5 - 2 days
